We will have a brand new HVAC chiller installed over the weekend.

In the meantime:
+ We will be drawing in fresh air and running coolers all night.
+ There will be temporary AC units connected to the HVAC system.
+ We will encourage additional water breaks for students.
+ The district will send substitutes to give our teachers additional breaks.

With these measures and with cooler temperatures tomorrow, I anticipate a much better day. The district facilities team will monitor the temperatures closely throughout the day. There is a contingency plan in place if the heat becomes excessive.

Thank you for your patience and concern for our students and staff members today. Our plan is to maintain a regular school schedule tomorrow. Schools are a safe place for students, but I recognize that these conditions can be challenging. If your child has a pre-existing condition or is sensitive to heat, you are welcome to keep them home tomorrow.
